December 16th, 2010

The blog “Me and My Kindle” brings to light the story of how Amazon created the Kindle using an international team of developers based in Israel.

“Amazon’s Kindle was largely developed in the heart of Israel’s high-tech center in the Herzliya Industrial Zone on the central coast,” the blog quotes a nonprofit news organization, Israel 21c, which tracked down the programmers who helped build it.

It’s a fascinating story. Our thanks to “Me and My Kindle” for bringing it to our attention. You can read more here.
